Your Placement Assessment is a short live online session designed to identify your current English level and recommend the most suitable learning path at Lumin Academy.
- Duration: 20 minutes
- Format: Live online assessment
- Level framework: CEFR-based level recommendation
- Skills checked: Speaking, listening, grammar awareness, vocabulary range, fluency, accuracy, and learning goals
- Scheduling: Your placement date and preferred time will be coordinated with you after purchase
- Result: You will receive a recommended class level and suitable study path
- Purpose: To help you join the right group class or private learning plan from the beginning
What Happens During the Assessment?
During the session, our academic team will check your current English ability through a short guided conversation and level-check questions.
This is not a pass/fail exam. It helps us understand your strengths, weak points, goals, and the type of class that fits you best.
The assessment may include:

Terms and Conditions
- The Placement Assessment is a 20-minute live online session.
- After purchase, Lumin Academy will contact you to coordinate your preferred date and time.
- The assessment must be completed before final class placement.
- Rescheduling requests must be sent to Lumin Academy support, not directly to the assessor or teacher.
- To reschedule your placement session, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled time.
- If you miss the session or request changes less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the session may be counted as completed.
- In that case, no refund or free rescheduling is guaranteed.
- If Lumin Academy needs to reschedule the session, you will be offered a new available time.
- The Placement Assessment fee is non-refundable once the session has been attended.
- The assessment result is a level recommendation and does not guarantee admission to a specific class time, teacher, or group.
- Final class placement depends on level suitability, class availability, and schedule compatibility.
